Supplies

All pieces are made with a hypoallergenic post. If you have gold on your post it is nickel and lead free. If your piece has a stud post affixed to it, please know this is stainless steel. However, after years of use posts and pieces attached to the earring may tarnish or darken. If this happens please clean off with a tarnish remover and jewelry cloth. Most of the time, oils from our skin cause this to happen to metals.

Polymer Clay

While I try my hardest to make sure each piece is flawless, please keep in mind that when working with clay, imperfections will happen. Tiny flaws are only natural to occur when handmaking each product. Keep that in mind when purchasing items from Hazel Bloom and be kind. These are made with a lot of love, time, tears and sometimes frustrations.

Polymer clay is extremely lightweight and bends before breaking. However it is strong and durable. If a design is complex or delicate, improper use can damage or even possibly result in a broken item. Once cured, it becomes a permanently hardened state and plastic-like material with heat. Our clay products are an ideal medium for a lot of different styles, shapes and types of jewelry.

Care

If makeup or skin oils make their way to your products, there is a simple cleaning you can do. These can be removed by moistening a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol or 100% pure acetone nail polish remover and gently wiping the area on the product that has been blemished.

Please do not swim, shower or sleep while wearing your clay creations. Keep them away from perfumes and bad chemicals to preserve the colors and hard work put into each piece.
